Ordering information

Introduction

Plants can be collected from our Nursery or we despatch throughout Europe. New crops are ready in early September, and this is the best time for planting. Early ordering is advised as some plants sell out quickly and will not be available until the following year. All prices include VAT @ 20%.

Delivery

We aim to despatch your order as soon as possible, for delivery Tuesdays to Fridays only (to avoid transit over the weekend). We only send good quality bushy plants and we take great care in the packing of your plants so they reach you in perfect condition. We have many regular customers and are often praised for the quality of our plants and packing. Our standard delivery charge starts at £9.95 for most UK deliveries, which is very competitive for the generous plant sizes and saves you time and travel. Heavier orders to further destinations cost more and this is calculated when you add your postcode at the Checkout.

Orders over 80Kg and large plants (over 35 litre) will be delivered by pallet on a large lorry for kerbside delivery only. Narrow gates and gravel drives can prevent delivery. Please phone to discuss if you have concerns.

We use an overnight parcel service to mainland England and Wales (which can be to an alternative address, for example a neighbour or workplace). Pallet deliveries are normally a 48 hour service. We reserve the right to send smaller plants if necessary, at reduced prices.

Please do not arrange for your gardener/landscaper to start planting until you have received your plants.

Collection

Plants are available all year from our plant centre where most of our popular varieties are arranged by colour to help your selection. Collection avoids despatch charges and we can give personal attention. Come and browse, or simply order online and select the 'Collect' option at the secure Checkout. Plants are perishable and must be collected within 6 days. We are unable to care for your plants after this time and they will be disposed of without refund.

EU Sales

Due to transport costs, please only order small plants up to 7.5 litre size. We do not recommend ordering in the summer as the weather can be hot and plants will suffer if there are any delays in transit. Maximum weight we can despatch is 65kg. Please contact us direct if you wish to order larger quantities.

Data Protection

We maintain customers' details for order processing and marketing purposes. We do not sell or exchange them with anyone else. Please advise us if you wish us to amend or remove your details from our database.

Gift Vouchers

Why not treat your friends to a Millais Nurseries Gift Voucher? These are available for any sum greater than £10.00 and can be used for purchases from the nursery. Just send us the full name and address of your friend together with your payment and we will send a voucher, card and a colour list of plants.
