Very old Japanese variety that has small, bright phlox pink flowers that fade to soft pink, approximately 30mm across. Flowering in May it has a low bushy habit and is often deciduous in cold areas. Height 60-80cm in 10 years.
In Japan this plant is known as Hinamoyo. It was known to have been grown in the Emperor's Garden in Tokyo in 1910.
