(H4) Attractive ruby red flowers in a tall conical truss, during mid May. A good solid red making plenty of attention, which buds up well every year. Bred at Boskoop Research Station, Holland. Size of head 150cm in 10 years.

Standard Rhododendrons were popular in the 1920's and 1930's, and are now becoming sought after again. Red Jack forms a neat compact head on top of the stem and should remain bushy without becoming top-heavy in years to come. This is the largest growing Standard Rhododendron that we offer. Any long shoots should be trimmed back after flowering. Ideal for formal situations, and best staked in the ground with a good tree-tie.
