(H3-4) Wide funnel shaped pale yellow flowers flushed pink on the outside crimson spots on the inside. Scented in May. A fine plant raised at Embley Park in Hampshire. Height 125-150cm in 10 years.
This is a lovely plant which has not been offered for sale for many many years. David Millais was with a group of leading Rhododendron enthusiasts who visited Bowood Gardens. Everyone present thought Cool Haven was one of the finest plants in the garden that day, and through the generosity of Lord Lansdowne we have been able to propagate this plant, probably for the first time in 40 years.
