(H6) A superb late flowering scented variety with shades of reddish pink and pinkywhite, with a yellow blotch. An outstanding plant which extends the flowering season into late June. Height 120-150cm in 10 years.

This plant was given to David Millais by the late Jack Harrington. Jack was a great gardening friend of breeder Denny Pratt, and lived at Stopham, near Fittleworth in West Sussex. Jack selected and named this plant from Denny's collection. When David Millais presented it to the RHS Rhododendron Committee in London, it received FCC (First Class Certificate) immediately - a rare achievement for a plant shown to them for the first time. It was much admired by Lord Aberconway, and the award recognised the quality of the blooms, especially for such a late flowering plant.
