(H5) A rare plant with showy and floriferous pale pink to rose and purple flowers, sometimes spotted. Flowering in April-May this is a lovely plant whose lower leaf surface has thin pale brown indumentum, slightly thicker than longipes on this variety. Likely height 100cm in 10 years.
Named after Professor S.S. Chien from Nanking, China.
