Throughout the year, we stock an extensive and diverse range of choice plants that complement rhododendrons beautifully. Our aim is to maintain a collection that is not only interesting but also unique to us.
Our collection includes a variety of shrubs and trees. We carefully select each plant for its ability to thrive in similar growing conditions, providing a harmonious and eye-catching display.

Cornus controversa Variegata AGM
A very choice large shrub or small tree with attractive horizontal branches, and striking variegated foliage. A slow growing plant which takes a while to mature, and is commonly known as the 'Wedding Cake Tree' due to its stunning shape. It is best given shelter when young. Height 2-4 metres in 10 years.

(H5) Small tree or elegant shrub. Spectacular white bracts on erect stalks cover the spreading branches in the summer. These are followed by strawberry like edible fruit in the autumn. The leaves have beautiful artistic autumn colours of bronze and crimson. Height 200-400cm in 10 years. Requires moist well drained acid soil.

(H6) A choice medium sized 'dogwood', with a spreading habit, covered with lovely pinky red flower bracts in June. Excellent rich autumn colours of orange and red. Best in full sun, in moist acid or neutral soils, this makes a fantastic garden plant. Named after the grand-daughter of a Japanese nurseryman.

Paulownia tomentosa (Foxglove Tree)
(H5) A broad, medium-sized deciduous tree with ovate or shallowly-lobed leaves up to 25cm long. It produces light lilac-purple flowers in large panicles. Fruits are ovoid, thinly woody.
