(H6)  Deep pink scented flowers with a prominent orange flare on the upper lobes. Late flowering in June, so best planted in some light shade to preserve the flowers. Height 150cm in 10 years.

This azalea was bred by Denny Pratt who was famous for his breeding of late flowering azaleas at Fittleworth in West Sussex. It was planted out in the garden of Jack Harrington, his friend and gardener for many years. Here it was much admired by Jack's daughter, Joy, and she took it with her when she moved to Dorset. Later, she kindly provided cuttings, and we are pleased to name this lovely plant for her. See the other Stopham azaleas in this series.
