We love this gorgeous plant. With frilled rose-pink bell shaped flowers in upright trusses it flowers in May. This is a good williamsianum hybrid with a dense habit and pale green egg shaped leaves. Rhododendron Lodbrit
(H5) Dark crimson buds open to large wide funnel shaped cherry pink flowers, fading to very light pink. Late May flowering. A strong Loderi x Britannia hybrid with large healthy green leaves on a dense growing plant. Height 150-175cm 10 years.
It is a shame that this plant does not give the wonderful scent of Loderi, but we are impressed with the lovely deep flowers and strong growth of dense habit...
Rhododendron Loderi Pink Coral
Pale coral pink highly scented flowers with a brownish purple blotch flowering in early May. A tall growing woodland plant that requires shelter and protection from strong wind. Height 180cm in 10 years.
This is one of the deepest pink clones of Loderi, but like all of them, the flowers will fade to pale pinky-white after a few days, but the lovely scent remains.
