Dwarf Rhododendron camtschaticum
An extremely rare dwarf deciduous shrub which is sometimes evergreen. It has wonderful soft hairy leaves and profuse purple flowers in June/July. Height 30cm with a spreading habit. Dwarf Rhododendrons don't mind the sun but they hate too much heat, so do avoid reflected heat from South facing walls and patios, particularly if planting in containers.
